He came to LSU as the nation's top dual-threat quarterback as a senior in high school in 2008, and continued to make an immediate impact during his first year with the Tigers. He rushed for 277 yards and two touchdowns. Shepard is a threat to score every time he touches the football. He moved to wide receiver during the spring, but will also see time in the backfield as either a running back or Wildcat quarterback. He has the best vertical leap (41.5 inches) and broad jump (11 feet, 2 inches) on the team; he was also hand-timed at 4.36 in the 40-yard dash in the spring. |
